It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with all things beauty…and in the last few years I’ve tried some things I haven’t done before! Maybe it’s living in Dallas aka the beauty capital of Texas (maybe the world??), but I’ve been inspired to try new things that make me feel my best! I’ve been going to Nurse Injector Megan Cheatham since February and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face! She is so knowledgeable and does everything so naturally - and she was kind enough to answer your pressing questions you submitted to my IG Story.

WHAT I GET:

FOREHEAD: I started out getting Botox around 2 1/2 years ago, and it didn’t do a ton for me. I wanted to smooth the lines on my forehead & still be able to show expression. I switched to Dysport to try something new - and it kicks in faster & seemed to last longer for me. I now ask for minimal Dysport between my 11 lines & throughout my forehead. I always make sure to tell her that I want to have movement in my eyebrows & not look frozen on camera!

LIPS: I recently got lip filler for the first time and WAS SO NERVOUS! A few of my very best friends have it and encouraged me to give it a shot. Megan recommended one syringe of Restylane Kysse filler because it’s the most natural and also good for people like me who have an autoimmune disease. I was most nervous about the pain, but Megan gave me a dental block to completely numb my top lip and the numbing cream also helped. I felt absolutely nothing on the top lip and the bottom lip was extremely minimal. Trust me, once you see these results you’ll realize how worth it it is!

NASAL FOLDS: To be honest, I didn’t even know what a nasal fold was! I have extremely deep lines around my lips and it was something I was always self conscious of, so I had Megan do a little bit of Restylane Defyne to help fill in those lines. I didn’t want them gone completely, but it definitely made them less deep!

1. I have super deep lines on my neck and forehead, would filler or botox be better to smooth them out?

The deep lines on your forehead should be treated with Botox and high quality skincare. The neck lines are best treated with Microneedling + high quality skin care. Message me if you want info on pricing + skincare products! I like using a retinol + moisturizer every day for treatment wrinkles.

2. What is an average price per unit for Dysport / Botox?

Every Spa has a different price for Botox/Dysport that varies by $2-3. I always try to tell my clients how many units + the price for each area. On average the forehead and between the eyebrows are $350 and the eyes are $250.

3. What is the best aftercare for lip filler?

I have an entire highlight for post care instructions for filler. And I go over this in our appointment together to make sure you feel equipped!

4. What are the benefits of Kybella?

Kybella is a powerful medication that is injected in to fat tissue. Most commonly in the submittal fat area (double chin). It is often treated 2-3 times.

5. On a scale of 1-10, how bad do lip injections hurt?

Pain is VERY subjective. Everyone experience pain differently! I would say most people classify it a 4/10 in pain. But if you have a low pain tolerance, I can do a dental block on you so you feel nothing :)

6. What services do you do consultations for?

I do consultations for ALL services. Skincare, wrinkles, filler, profile balancing, facials, lasers, kybella, etc. I am training with a dermatologist soon also to be better equipped for the Derm side of things :)

7. What qualities should I look for in an injector?

Precision with education/instructions. If your injector does not give you details and explanations for your services, go elsewhere. You should NEVER feel like you have no idea what is happening or what complications could arise. Find an injector you respect because they are honest and have integrity with their services.

Someone that makes you feel comfortable also. Injections cause anxiety and are nerve-racking. Find someone that makes you feel comfortable.

8. What is a good product for under eye darkness?

PRP/PRF injections for the under eye area is AMAZING! An eye cream I like it SkinBetter EyeMax and also SkinMedica TNS eye Cream.

9. What is a daily skincare product or routine you can't live without?

My SkinBetter Trio Moisturizer. I am obsessed with it and recommend it for all skin types.

10. Any tips for youthful looking skin?

SKINCARE!! It is the #1 most powerful thing you can do for anti-aging. If you are using grocery store bought products, please reconsider. The second you buy a professional grade product, your life with change.
